PML-N President Nawaz Sharif recently visited the US to present his condolences along with conducting some medical examination. The sudden arrival of Nawaz set rapid movements among the supporters of the PTI and gathered to welcome Nawaz at the Washington Dulles Airport that found he used a separate exit route after leaving those premises.
Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, escorted Nawaz to a private dinner at the residence of an American businessman. The meeting also included some American attendees, although no one could confirm whether any U.S. officials attended.
PTI leader Joni Bashir declared that PTI will not protest at the residence where Nawaz stayed, considering the recent death of Sheikh’s wife. However, PTI is going to protest outside other places Nawaz might visit in order to make a statement that the party feels the U.S. is supporting a “controversial figure.”
In this protest, PTI is trying to make U.S. officials aware of their stance on Nawaz Sharif’s political position in Pakistan.
