Release orders for Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI chairman Imran Khan and former First Lady of Pakistan, finally came for her after the successful submission of surety bonds worth 10 lakh rupees, which were submitted by Tariq Mahmood Noon before the Islamabad’s Special Court.
Bushra Bibi was released on bail on October 23rd in the Toshakhana 2 case but was sent back due to errors in her release documents. Ironically, this is the third consecutive day that her release orders were prepared but drafted improperly, therefore the delay of her release. After the fourth attempt, the release orders were issued properly, so she will soon be released from the clutches of Adiala Jail.
Islamabad High Court yesterday granted bail to Bushra Bibi with surety bonds of 10 lakh rupees each. The court’s order was issued by Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb, as he had found her bail in the Toshakhana 2 case. However, all these approvals were unfounded as the release of Bushra Bibi was tightened solely because of documentation issues.

The case of Toshakhana where precious gifts received in office by both Bushra Bibi and her husband-the former Prime Minister Imran Khan-were being held and sold in high numbers like seven luxury watches.
The FIA had been carrying out the investigation of this case, which had earlier been dealt with by NAB. Subsequent to the revision of the laws relating to NAB, the case was passed on to the FIA, and a special JIT was formed for the purposes of investigation into the matter.
Bushra Bibi is also likely to be released soon after all formalities get sorted. This is one of the major legal challenges to be dealt with by Imran Khan and his family, along with several other investigations into their financial transactions.
