Popular TV host Nida Yasir has issued a public apology after she mistakenly claimed that actress Anmol Baloch was recently married. The mix-up happened during a special Eid-ul-Fitr episode of her morning show, where several celebrities were congratulated for their weddings.

During the live broadcast, Nida Yasir named Anmol Baloch among actresses who had allegedly tied the knot this year. The segment also featured showbiz couple Falak Shabbir and Sarah Khan, who extended their congratulations to newlyweds like Mawra Hussain, Kubra Khan, and Gohar Rasheed.
However, shortly after the show aired, the news of Anmol Baloch’s so-called secret marriage went viral online — prompting the actress to issue a statement denying the claim.
Nida Yasir Accepts Her Mistake
Days later, Nida Yasir took responsibility for the confusion and addressed the issue on her show without naming Anmol Baloch directly. She admitted that she had shared unverified information during a live segment, which led to widespread rumors about the actress’s personal life.
“I was told by a fellow showbiz personality that she had gotten married, and I believed it,” Nida explained. “Unfortunately, I didn’t confirm it before mentioning it on air.”
She added that the actress herself had called her to clarify the false news.
‘Announcing a Girl’s Marriage Without Proof Can Be Harmful’
Nida acknowledged that publicly declaring someone’s marriage — especially a woman’s — without confirmation can cause unnecessary stress and damage to their reputation.
“It was my mistake. I shouldn’t have said anything without verifying it. I apologize from the bottom of my heart,” she said.
Although she refrained from naming Anmol Baloch in her apology, viewers quickly connected the dots.
This incident has sparked conversations on media responsibility, especially when it comes to sharing personal information on public platforms.
