Veteran actress Sadia Imam recently opened up about her regret over not having worked with renowned actor Faisal Qureshi. During an appearance on the popular comedy show Mazaq Raat, she candidly shared her thoughts on her career, personal life, and missed opportunities.
Sadia Imam mentioned that her older sister, Alia Imam, who worked at Pakistan Television (PTV), played a pivotal role in getting her into the industry. Her career began when she was invited as a guest on a show, leading her into the world of acting at a young age, with commercials being her first gigs.
Sadia later stepped away from the entertainment industry after marriage, focusing entirely on raising her daughter. She explained that her responsibilities as a mother became her priority, which required her to step back from the screen. She noted that life had changed drastically after marriage and motherhood, and she now devotes herself to her family.
The actress expressed that while she loves her family, she misses acting and sometimes feels nostalgic when she sees interesting roles on TV. However, she has come to terms with the fact that her days as a leading heroine are behind her, admitting that it’s time to accept reality.
Sadia also shared her disappointment over not being able to work with Faisal Qureshi, a colleague she admires. She explained that the two started their careers at different PTV centers—she in Karachi, and Faisal in Lahore. By the time Faisal moved to Karachi, she had already left the industry after getting married. She expressed deep regret over this missed opportunity and praised Faisal’s acting skills, saying she wishes they could have worked together.
The actress also touched on how much she misses acting but emphasized that her daughter’s upbringing is her top priority, especially since her in-laws and parents have passed away, leaving her as her daughter’s primary caregiver. Despite stepping away from showbiz, Sadia Imam continues to reflect on her career and expresses her desire to return if a good role comes her way.
