Model and actress Sahifa Jabbar was snapped with a ‘baby bump’ on Instagram, and fans and peers were quick to offer congratulations to the apparent new mom. Except, Sahifa says it is all just for the shoot and she isn’t pregnant at all.
In another video, Sahifa says that she couldn’t believe and laughed at the congratulatory messages of friends, family, and fans. Sahifa also quipped that probably her husband was the most shocked but very amused.
While most people felt that her jokes were funny, there still were some who argued that she should update the post so the caption is clear and not misleading. Sahifa’s jesting approach to the situation reflects much about the character behind it, yet it brings to question whether the responsible sharing of information can be dispensed with in the age of social media.
