Today is a special full court reference to mark the last day in office of Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, who retried and was welcomed by judges, lawyers, court staff, and journalists in Supreme Court’s Room One. The nominated Chief Justice Yahya Afridi attended, but other senior judges of the country, among them Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, are abroad on leave.

He also made sure children of all parts of Balochistan get their right to basic education and focused much on Article 19A of the Constitution. Of all the significant judgments by Chief Justice Isa, all relate to wildlife preservation that he had undertaken from the standpoint of the Holy Quran and Islamic ideology, as well as inheritance rights by women.
His judgment on the Faizabad sit-in of 2017 reminded everyone that protests must be peaceful and not violate public rights. Chief Justice Isaac started his legal career in Quetta in 1985.
