Mathira Says Marriages in Pakistan Have Become Business Deals

In her latest podcast, actress and model Mathira speaks on marriage and relationship issues, with certain social issues in Pakistan. Not very diplomatic, she was while giving all that she said regarding marriage, saying now that it had turned into a business deal rather than a union in itself. Both parents and the younger generation now look forward to a partner with a bank balance and status, says Mathira.

Mathira added that the Pakistani society has become really advanced, but in this advancing in its troubles too. She pointed out that the naughty relationships between young boys and girls are rising. As a result, new issues are coming about in society, which is another reason for growing anxiety and depression among people, in her opinion.

She believes privacy regarding marriage is largely misunderstood. Leaving your spouse alone when he or she is upset does no good. Instead, problems should be addressed right away. Waiting longer just worsens the thing.

She also said divorces are becoming trendy due to the abundant choices. According to her, after a slight tussle, men opt for other relationships within a very short time, and amazingly, young girls are willing to get into relationships with married men.

Mathira was asking why the same little girls, aged 18 or 19, opt for married men. She also showed concern about this trend and easily the way such relationships happen.

Finally, Mathira clarified the fact that the present view of marriage in Pakistan is just a business deal. She says that often men want to take care of beauty in a woman, while women want a handsome gentleman who must have enough money. Not only the people but their parents also decide according to the rich and poor status. She ended saying that when beauty fades away or the problem of money comes in between, problems start ascending, and this further creates more nightmares in marriages.
